Jakarta Film Fund

Program Description

A short filmmaking competition that provides production, technical, and training support for the five selected proposals. Each participant received a production fund of IDR 30 million and other support such as mentors, workshops (writing, directing, editing), and film editing facilities. The five films produced will be screened at the Jakarta Film Week and the best will win the Jakarta Film Fund Award.

A Tale Before Nightfall
Ayu (35) a housemaid who works in Jakarta decided to kidnap Clara (9), her employer's daughter, to her hometown. That day, Ayu and Clara were preparing to leave Jakarta with a pick-up minibus so they wouldn't be easily tracked. After picking up the last passenger in a crowded neighborhood in Jakarta, the minibus suddenly broke down and could not continue the journey. Ayu and Clara had to wait for the minibus to be repaired with fear and a dilemma while they were waiting.

Yusuf Jacka
Yusuf Jacka Ardana is a film student born in 2000 who grew up in Jakarta. He started to like movies when he was in elementary school after seeing a film shoot near his school. In 2016, his short film was screened at the HAS Film Festival Malaysia 4.0 organized by the HAS Malaysia film community. Now, he is studying at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar and continues to study filmmaking, network, and try to bring his films to the audience.
One Night In Chinatown
One night in Chinatown, a misunderstanding and a secret agenda set off a chain of events that go out of proportion between a middle-aged couple and a young teenage couple.

William Adiguna
William was born in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1996. Now, he is working as an assistant producer at Base Entertainment, an Indonesian film studio. He is currently involved in the production team on several feature films and series productions such as Quarantine Tales (2020) dan Lara Ati (2021). In addition, he is also a filmmaker who has written, produced, and directed his own short films, which are The Night Receptionist (2019), Out Loud (2020) and Please Be Quiet (2021).
...And That's What Marriage is
Mr. Director (38) met Ms. Tiny Dancer (36) for a date around Jakarta from sunset until midnight. This one-night trip made him fall in love with her. He saw her as a complete and distinct figure, caring, not superior, compassionate, and motherly. The figure of the woman he had been looking for and never found in his wife.

Director
Aji Aditya
Aji Aditya has been a short film director since 2012. He writes all the short films that he directs himself. His most recent two works, AGUS and AGUS (2014) was screened at the Ha Noi International Film Festival 2016, and RUN BOY RUN, which had its world premiere at the Balinale 2018. He is now working as a creative director at an animation studio in Bandung, Indonesia.
Ringroad
Mulyani (16), seorang pekerja rumah tangga menjalin hubungan dengan
seorang tukang bangunan, Reza (18). Naif dan berapi-api seperti remaja
lainnya, mereka berjanji untuk meninggalkan tanggung jawab mereka
dan pergi jauh dengan motor Reza ke mana pun yang mereka inginkan.
Dalam kurun waktu enam jam, Reza akan kehilangan akses masuk
komplek perumahan elit di mana mereka bekerja. Mereka harus
mengendap-endap dari petugas keamanan, kaum elitis yang absurd, dan
menghadapi konsekuensi dari pelanggaran kontrak pekerjaan Mulyani.

Director
Andrew Kose
Andrew Kose is a writer/director who has made short films in Jakarta, Singapore, Bangkok, and Melbourne. He is an alumnus of Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne, majoring in fine arts, film, and television. His short film Sunny Side of the Street (2019) received the best short film nomination at the Indonesian Film Festival 2019. The film also competed at several international film festivals such as the Regensburg Film Week and SeaShorts.
One Day on the Fishing Ground
Ngatno and his Javanese friends could not return home because of the Pandemic. While fishing, fantasies and complaints poured out one day at the fishing ground. Then magic happened from the fish that Ngatno caught.

Director
Rifki Rifaldi
Rifki Rifaldi, born in December 1994, has produced forms of audio visual works since 2013. Many of his works are involved in various short film festivals and have earned appreciation in various provincial, national, and international audiences. His love for the audio visual world also helped him into the world of the creative industry.


Gumilar Ekalaya
He is the Acting Head of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office. He has a Master of Economics degree from the University of Indonesia and a Bachelor of Law degree from Padjadjaran University. He started his career as Head of the Tourism Spatial Planning Section.
Yosep Anggi Noen
Yosep Anggi Noen is a director and screenwriter who made his directorial debut in a feature film Vakansi yang Janggal dan Penyakit Lainnya (2012) that competed at the 2012 Locarno International Film Festival. Subsequently, Yosep Anggi directed the feature films Istirahatlah Kata-Kata (2016) and Hiruk-Pikuk si Al-Kisah (2019) that won the Special Mention at the 2019 Locarno International Film Festival and received 10 nominations at the 2020 Indonesian Film Festival.
Agni Ariatama
Agni Ariatama is a director of photography whose portfolio includes several Indonesian feature films, such as Janus: Prajurit Terakhir (2003), Kejar Jakarta (2005), 3 Doa 3 Cinta (2008), Khalifah (2011), and Cinta dari Wamena (2013). Agni Ariatama currently lectures at his alma mater, the Jakarta Institute of Arts (IKJ), and serves as the Chairperson of the Film Committee of the Jakarta Arts Council.
Titis Sapto Raharjo
Titis Sapto merupakan sutradara, produser dan penulis skenario film pendek dan web series
yang tinggal di Jakarta. Memulai karier sebagai produser dalam film pendek berjudul Taksi
(2011) yang diputar di Indonesia Fantastic Film Festival 2011. Selain itu, Titis juga mendirikan
Flick Magazine, sebuah portal berita yang fokus dalam memberikan informasi terkini seput
ar sinema dunia. Titis juga juga berpengalaman sebagai marketing director untuk sebuah
proyek film yang berjudul Tabula Rasa (2014). Saat ini Titis Sapto juga menjadi pengajar di
Prodi Film – Binus University.

Nurita Anandia
Creative and self-driven producer, project manager and screenwriter with over five years

audiences.
Devina Sofiyanti
Devina Sofiyanti is a screenwriter who graduated from the Jakarta Institute of the Arts. She
studied Screenwriting at the New York Film Academy. Some of the scenarios she wrote include
Three Choices of Life (2016), Ustad Millenial (2021), and Tersanjung the Series (2021). Apart
from being a screenwriter, Devina also teaches at the Film Study Program - Binus University.
Chairun Nissa
Ilun, as Chairun Nissa is normally addressed dearly, is a director who graduated from the
Jakarta Institute of the Arts. The final project he directed, entitled Purnama di Pesisir, was
screened and competed in various Indonesian and international film festivals. In 2012, Ilun was
involved as one of the directors in the omnibus horror film Hi5teria. Apart from being a fictional
film director, Ilun is also known as a documentary film director. Her works include Chocolate
Comedy (2012), Pieces (2016), and Semesta (2020) which were released internationally on
Netflix.

Gita Fara
Gita Fara is an experienced film producer who started her career as a line producer in Mirror Never Lies (2011) by Kamila Andini. She debuted as a film producer in Garin Nugroho's film Nyai (2016). Subsequently, she produced films such as Sekala Niskala: The Seen and Unseen (2017) that won the Grand Prix Award in the Generation Kplus Program at the 2018 Berlin International Film Festival, and most recently, a feature documentary entitled The Flame (2021).
Irfan Ramli
A director and screenwriter who made his debut through the film Cahaya dari Timur: Beta Maluku in 2012 and won the Citra Award for the Best Film Category at the 2012 Indonesian Film Festival. Subsequently, he wrote several screenplays, such as Surat dari Praha (2016), Filosofi Kopi the Movie: Ben & Jody (2017), and Love for Sale (2018). Irfan Ramli made his directorial debut in the film Generasi 90an: Melankolia (2020).
Super 8mm Studio
Super 8mm Studio works in the film industry and audiovisual media which focuses on the post-production process. Established in 2010, it was initially a mere home studio called “Frame Point” and later developed into a creative studio named Super 8mm Studio. Super 8mm Studio performs several post-production works ranging from offline editing, online editing, color grading, and visual effects (CGI). They have cooperated with numerous production houses including Falcon Pictures, MD Pictures, MNC Pictures, Mizan Production, Dapur Film, KG Film, Limaenam Films, Fourcolours Films, and many others.
Andhy Pulung
Andhy Pulung, a film editor who graduated from Jakarta Arts Institute. He's been involved in Opera
Jawa, Nyai, Istirahatlah kata-Kata and Rumah Merah Putih. In 2019, Andhy Pulung selected to represent
Indonesia in Post- Production Training Program in Mumbai, India conducted by Netflix and A Post Lab
Aline Jusria
Aline Jusria is an editor who graduated from the Jakarta Institute of the Arts. She made her feature
film debut as an editor for the film Alexandria. Some of the films she has worked on include Minggu
Pagi di Victoria Park (2010), Catatan Harian Si Boy (2011), Dua Garis Biru (2019), Ali dan Ratu-ratu
Queens (2021), and A World Without (2021). Aline Jusria won the Citra Award as Best Picture Stylist
at the Indonesian Film Festival twice in a row through the film Minggu Pagi di Victoria Park in 2010
and Catatan Harian Si Boy in 2011.
